Stress Relief Meditation

We've all been there. Life has gotten so hectic and out of control that our hearts pound, our minds race, and sometimes, we just want to run away from it all. Stress levels can be managed with meditation.

Stress Relief Meditation is a combination of one or more practices that vary depending on the type of stress occurring. Stress doesn't affect every individual the same way, there is not one be all, end all type of meditation for stress relief. It may necessary to apply a combination of meditations to a stressful situation, depending on the underlying causes of that stress.

For example, a person might be stressed because they haven't been sleeping due to anxiety. In this case, relaxation meditation, combined with sleep meditation, would be the best type of meditations to address the underlying root causes of the stress (insomnia and anxiety).

In addition to addressing, and treating, your stress, practicing any type of stress meditation can allow you to gain a new perspective on how you handle stress itself. Meditation allows you to build new stress management skills, and even increases your self-awareness.

For those who suffer with conditions like anxiety, asthma, cancer, depression, heart disease, high blood pressure, pain, and sleep problems, stress meditation can be very helpful in treatment (in conjunction with a traditional medical treatment). We offer meditations for a variety of stressors including anxiety, loneliness, back to school shopping, anger and resentment, bullying, and feeling overwhelmed.
